The Breitling Colt range are an incredibly attractive range of watches, they represent a stripped down version of many of the more technical Breitling’s on the market currently and bring the watch back to what its original purpose was, to simply tell the time.

The Colt comes with a choice of two dial colours, black or silver, there are no options for the red, blue or green dials which Breitling has recently been experimenting with and this is perhaps to emphasise the simple nature of this watch.  This choice of colours is also available in the replica Breitling Colt range.  One of the main benefits of this specific watch I have noticed is its weight, at only 90 grams it is one of the lightest watches made by Breitling and being only 12mm thick it is an incredibly comfortable time piece to wear.  Breitling seems to have put comfort as a priority in the creation of this range and as such extra attention has been paid to the strap which is a Pro II bracelet, one of the most well received bracelets Breitling has produced.  The bracelet featured in the above photo is an optional extra you can select, and in my opinion it would be a wise move to make.  The black colour of the bracelet compliments the watch to a far greater degree than the stainless steel option which comes as standard, giving an altogether more sleek design to the watch.

The only negative I have found with this watch is the power reserve it features, at only 40 hours this is significantly less than other watches produced by Breitling, with some featuring up to 72 hours of reserve power, meaning that if you do not intend to use this time piece for extended periods of time then you will keep needing to reset the watch.  This lack of reserve power is however in my opinion more than made up for in the way the watch feels when on your wrist.

In recent magazine publications you will have probably seen the Breitling Colt featured prominently and worn by a selection of celebrities including the great Cal Ripken Jnr, the Major League Baseball Fall of Famer.
