The Breitling Superocean range of watches has been in production for many years; a fusion of both style and functionality has ensured the longevity of the Superocean model and has increased its popularity greatly over the last 2 years.

As you can probably tell by the name, this range of Breitling’s are designed primarily for divers, but, as with so many Breitling watches also now attract many purchasers solely for fashionable reasons.  As the range of watches in this specific Breitling replica collection are great in number, the remainder of this post will focus on just the popular Breitling Superocean Steelfish and the Breitling Superocean 2010 models.

The Steelfish watch originally featured two different versions which often confused many potential buyers, the two names used were the “X Plus” and there was also the original version.  Breitling has however recently the “X Plus” from the name to eliminate any further confusion.  Despite the slight change of name the Steelfish continues to use the Breitling Calibre 17 watch movement, the same movement installed into the majority of watches made by the company and remains ever popular worldwide.

The Superocean 2010 represents a slight change in the design of those other time pieces in the Superocean range.  Breitling removed the solid stainless steel bezels but kept the watch size at 42mm.  A new range of colours were also introduced all going under the “Abyss” name, with Black, Silver, Blue, Red and Yellow available for customers to choose from.  The Superocean has effectively undergone a period of slight modernisation which has led it to become one of Breitling’s best selling watches in 2011.

The Superocean range are some of my personal favourites, the minimalist design, comfortable strap and sleek and simple look of the watch make it suitable for every type of occasion from formal dinners to casual drinks, and this versatility is what attracts me most to this specific range.  A personal word of warning however would be to avoid purchasing the red or blue options as I feel that these colours tend to devalue the look of the watch.  Opting for simple colours such as white, black or perhaps yellow will ensure that your watch is suitable for most outfits, whereas blue and red can tend to look out of place occasionally.
