The Breitling Transocean Chronograph and its replica is released
Sep 15th
During the recent Baselworld watch fair held in Basel, Switzerland Breitling surprised and astounded those in attendance and indeed many global press outlets with the release of the Transocean Chronograph.
This version of the Transocean Chronograph is, in effect a replica of the 1958 release which went on to become one of the most popular and sought after watches of the era, a feat which this more up to date model should also easily achieve. However if you want this watch the the key is to acquire it early on as only 2000 will ever be produced in steel and even fewer, 200 to be precise will be crafted in the more popular red gold so very few people will be wearing the same watch as yourself, ensuring exclusivety is preserved.
There really is not much to critique regarding this specific time piece, there is little not to like and appreciate, the steel majority of the watch contrasts and compliments the black coloured dial extraordinarily well and its simplistic, but fully functional nature is one of the real highlights of this watch. The one drawback is that the Transocean Chronograph is not totally suitable for long periods of contact with water, so diving with the watch on your person is out of the question, but if that is not an activity you regularly pursue then this factor will obviously be of no concern.
The watch will go on sale in around the £5500-£6500 price range, if however you cannot afford this price or you are unable to purchase due to stock running out then you can always consider the replica of this model which should retail anywhere between $90-$400 depending on the quality and where you purchase from.
